Optical effects at Kaleartean, June 2015.

Kaleartean is an arts festival that celebrated its first edition in 2015. The festival aims at improving the urban landscape and the aesthetic quality of the main shopping areas in Basauri (Bizkaia) through different kinds of artistic interaction.

A total number of ten artists were selected. My project stemmed from my personal trajectory related to visual perceptive phenomena that I have been developing since the 1990s and which has led me to work with materials and concepts such as camouflage, eye charts, moiré effects, holography, etc.
  • Mural artwork for Kaleartean consisting of two geometrical grids that create a moiré effect of 98,4X98,4 inches each which were installed in the window of an empty shop in Basauri.
