HETEROTEXTIL:

TEXTILE AS A SIGNIFICANT MATERIAL IN THE ARTISTIC PROJECT.WORKSHOP DIRECTED BY MALÚS ARBIDE AND BERUTA

In the history of modern art we appreciate the combination of a great diversity of materials that eventually make up a piece.

Among them is textile.

This workshop proposes the creation of an artistic project, in which a textile piece designed by the artists themselves will be used as the main element in the project.

The two-dimensional designed and colored surface that the fabric constitutes will become the basic material to investigate its many possible uses as well as the construction of a three-dimensional object.

The project will therefore be developed according to two consecutive and interlinked phases.

The first will be based on the acquisition of the necessary techniques to create and produce printed fabrics. It will then focus on the development of a personal design, to be subsequently printed on a textile support.

Once the fabric has been created the project will enter the second phase. We will then study the language of the textile material itself as a plastic and expressive medium, and we will also explore the most adequate techniques to create three-dimensionality within the fabric.
