Comissioned work by Museo Nacional del Prado, Madrid. 2010/11.

Textile accessory for the Museo del Prado, Madrid, Spain.

The pattern design of this scarf is inspired by the anonymous 15th-century Spanish painting ‘La Virgen de los Reyes Católicos’, which belongs to the collection of the Museo Nacional del Prado. I was commissioned to design and produce a silk scarf and textile tote bag. The pattern of these two projects is an abstract composition based on the motif of the floor tiles present in the painting.

Purchase the scarf at www.tiendaprado.com and at the museum’s physical store.
